Sessions and topics:
Scientific sessions in Ethnopharmacology are focused on indigenous practices and market development. Â Additional sessions will include medicinal plant cultivation, biodiversity, and essential oils. Â Pharmacognosy sessions are planned to explore the physical, chemical, and biological properties of medicinal plants. Â Plant scientists, historians, anthropologists, and those interested in Mayan culture and natural medicines should plan to attend. Â Simultaneous translation of presentations will be offered at most of the sessions. Â Number of keynote speeches is scheduled to address major issues in science, industry and research related to medicinal plants. Workshops and special sessions require registration. Closing ceremony will be held at the ancient city of Tikal, a historical site and a global treasure.
